A Travellerspoint blog

the problem with keeping the blog up to date...

...while there is so much going on

all seasons in one day 0 °C

It has been a rough two weeks...and I'm glad this weekend looks like its going to be calm!

2 weeks ago I went with work to see the famous oil cracker (apparently there are only 4 in Europe). But please don't ask me what an oil cracker is...
I got those awesome 1st class railpasses from work, which allowed me to travel up to Zermatt to have a first look at the famous Matterhorn. But Matterhorn was really good in hiding itself for 2 days...So I left Zermatt without seeing it in its full beauty

Then on Tuesday last week I invited some friends over for dinner, and I thought the white wine would be largely enough for a nice dinner...but when we finished the bottles I bought, we got really desperate and we rushed to the "off-licence" before 10 to get more booze...and we were so afraid that it wouldn't suffice be boughte way to much...but worst part of it all was that we managed to finish it, and we decided would all go to Paris for the weekend.

So then the weekend in Paris...was not what I've expected. Maybe still tired of the journey and the the rough Tuesday, I was a bit disapointed about the nightlife in Paris. I've expected to find at least a bar/pub/club where we could hang out and have a good time with some openminded people...but far away from that, we only met guys hitting on us in a really cheap way...but apart from that it's a really nice city! (But I still don't think I will be going there again in the near future...)

update on the funny life of an ordinary person...
